Bayonetta 2 is an action-packed platform fighting game that revolves around beautiful HD surroundings. Use Bayonetta’s powers to defeat angels and demons and summon demons of your own to overpower deadly creatures.
Graphics — 5/5
The landscapes you fight in Bayonetta 2 are simply breathtaking. With magical environments that immerse you in the non-stop action, this game is definitely worth enjoying on so many levels. Every character is well designed and detailed in a way that matches the game itself. From the demons and angels that come up against you to the enchanted landscapes around you, the high-quality graphics incorporated into the game make every animation come to life right before your eyes.
Gameplay — 5/5
Known as one of the most popular action games available, Bayonetta 2 truly stands out for everything right. You take on the character of Bayonetta, a witch with extraordinary powers and mystical weapons that are put to the test against some of the most vicious looking demons as well as angels. You will have to fight your way through every level by defeating the bad guys and regaining your powers. Your weapons are powerful tools, but you will have to choose them wisely as some are specifically designed for a certain enemy. The Kafka is a bow which shoots poison arrows while the Rakshasa, two katana blades, can cut open any demon. You can also use combo moves to inflict even more pain on your opponent and build your power gauge. If you use the Wicked Weave of Bayonetta, you can summon your very own demons to help you win the fight. You can choose to play alone or team up with a friend in Tag Climax. Play online as well and bet your collected halos to win big prizes. You win Pure Platinum, Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Stone medals after every fight.
Controls — 4.5/5
Since Bayonetta 2 is only available on the Wii U, the controls are pretty standard. They can be customized to suit your playing style and deliver an easier gaming experience. Movement is carried out by either the D-pad on the left or the analog stick on the left. To attack an opponent or to use an item, the buttons on the right will do the job. Customization of the controls can be done through the console itself.
Replay Value — 5/5
