Top-5 First Games for Nintendo Switch
Nintendo released Nintendo Switch worldwide on March 3, 2017, and now you can find a variety of games to play on the move or on your TV. It offers an impressive level of handheld graphical quality, so if you’re choosing a new console, bear this in mind.
Though it’s a relatively new piece of hardware, there is already a sufficient number of cool games. I couldn’t miss an opportunity to play most of the launch lineup and enjoyed this experience a lot. That’s why I created a list of the best games for Nintendo Switch so that you could focus on the things that really matter — playing the games, not doing the research.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild swiftly breaks into this list and occupies the top position. In this game, you start controlling an amnesiac Link after a strange voice from nowhere awakens him from a century-long sleep. This adventure gives you the freedom of action, excellent art style, and deep gameplay.
Most games tell the player what to do and how to act in every situation. The burdensome tutorials usually take you by the hand and guide through the gameplay towards the inevitable. Zelda, on the contrary, shows you an immense world and lets you explore it. As you do that, you find new weapons, fight with clumsy monsters, solve puzzles, and deal with missions in any order you want.
After installing Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you’ll get a game which is incredibly broad in scope and offers lots of little touches to discover. You will be able to spend half-day wandering around and brewing elixirs or meet the game’s final boss if you feel that you’re ready to defeat him.
Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
Mario Kart 8: Deluxe includes the original game plus all the downloadable content, new tracks, characters, and a renewed battle mode. The visuals have stood the test of time, and due to an excellent art direction, this improved version looks awesome on Nintendo Switch in 2017.
The game now has “Deluxe” in the name, but it’s not the only reason to download it. The tracks are twisted like a Mobius strip and strewn with boosts and coins. There are new exciting modes and maps. You’ll also be able to collect and store 2 weapons at a time. Plus, the developers expanded the character roster to add a couple of new faces.
The re-purchase of Mario Kart 8: Deluxe will be justified due to the additions and upgrades. If you missed Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U, then buying it for Nintendo Switch is a right way to get your hands on a brilliant game.
Lego City Undercover
Lego City Undercover is exciting from its beginning till the end. Being available to play on Nintendo Switch, the game has a portable edge over more high-powered versions. It looks excellent on the Switch screen at a 720p resolution.
First, the game was a single player, but this very updated variant lets you play with your friends. You’ll move around the city and deal with missions together in separate split screens. Note, that every player needs his own full controller layout.
You’ll play as a police officer who has to hunt down a villain and put an end to his crimes. There are over 20 districts to explore, references to discover, vehicles to drive, and tons of collectible items.
Lego City Undercover shows you how far the engine technology has moved on in the last few years. This Switch game provides you a full-blown handheld adventure — something other consoles won’t deliver.
1-2 Switch will be a hit at your party. It includes 28 unique mini-games demonstrating the sensors’ fidelity on Joy-Con controllers. All of them are motion-controlled, and you’ll have to look at the person standing in front of you, not the screen.
1-2 Switch offers you the Wild West-style battles, eating contests, and even cow-milking competitions, which will make you laugh a lot. These games don’t require much explanation. In the Ball Count, you have to count the balls; in Shave, you’ll shave your face using the controller, and so on. Some games are truly odd. In Hold the baby, you’ll have to rock Nintendo Switch in your arms, and after the baby stops crying, you need to put in down on a flat surface to win.
This game deserves applause for making social interaction so fun and easy. With those cute mini-games, you will play away from the screen and enjoy one of the best party games available for now. The curious and eccentric nature the mini-games make playing 1-2 Switch an exciting, memorable experience.
It’s an enhanced futuristic and incredibly fast racing game for Nintendo Switch. Fast RMX looks stylish with its anti-gravity vehicles and sci-fi world. You’ll be able to race your opponents both locally with up to 3 friends and online against 7 random players from all around the globe.
Drive across 30 beautiful tracks to become a legend in the league. The canyons, futuristic landscapes, abandoned mines, jungle areas, breathtaking peaks, vast deserts will surround you during the races. And don’t forget about the non-stop action at 60 FPS in 1080p.
One of the best things about this game is that you can play with whoever you want and anywhere you are. Just jump in, choose from 15 futuristic racing machines, and enjoy the game. You can also unlock the Hero Mode to experience the new rules and even more challenges.
